Irwin Kula (SC '78, RS '82) was named to Newsweek's "America's 50 Most Influential Rabbis" 2011.

Rabbi Mitchel Malkus (RS '99, DS '01), head of school at Pressman Academy in Los Angeles, was awarded a Milken Family Foundation Outstanding Educator Award.

Jason Rogoff, PhD (GS '10) was awarded a fellowship by the Max and Bella Guggenheim Foundation in Jewish Ethics of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The fellowship will support Dr. Rogoff in Israel as he researches environmental ethics in rabbinic literature.
