The exhibitions program enables the general public to become better acquainted with the vast treasures of Jewish heritage collected by The Library. Exhibitions showcase the collections of manuscripts, incunabula, rare printed Hebrew books, genizah fragments, broadsides, ketubbot, megillot, and prints.
Exhibitions are on view in the Goldsmith Gallery and on the first and fifth floors of The Library building. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
A small exhibit on The Zohar: The Book of Splendor is now available for your viewing on the fifth floor of The Library building. The exhibit includes an important manuscript from The Library's collection, the two earliest printings of the Zohar, and other interesting editions. Exhibit hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (or JTS closing time); and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Further information is available by calling (212) 678-8082.

The conditions governing the loan of our material are as follows:
1) The borrowing institution must display the items in a temperature/humidity/lighting-controlled environment with twenty-four-hour security.
2) Wall-to-wall insurance must be secured from the day the material leaves The Library until it returns.
3) Materials must be accompanied by a courier from The Library and a representative of The Library must be present at installation and de-installation.
4) Expenses for loan are as follows: packing and shipping by mutually agreeable fine arts packer; courier expenses including transportation, lodging, and per diem; and rental fee depending on items exhibited.
