There are four main ways to access the rich content on learn.jtsa.edu:
1. Homepage Links
When you first arrive at learn.jtsa.edu, you will find a host of featured items. At the top level is a rotating banner, updated weekly, which links to various types of content. Below the main banner are three lists of content: Featured, Popular, and Newest Additions. At the bottom of the page are links to various topics, including Conservative Judaism, God, and Israel. Clicking on any of these will take you to a search result page with all the content on learn.jtsa.edu dealing with the specific theme in question. (Here are the results when Israel is chosen.)
2. Search Bar
At the top right of every page on learn.jtsa.edu is a search bar that allows access to a full-text exploration of all of content on learn.jtsa.edu. Enter the term Jerusalem into the search bar, and every commentary, lecture, podcast, or class containing Jerusalem will appear on the page.
3. Explore Page
A more refined search experience can be found by clicking the Explore button on the top of every page. The Explore Page offers a series of filters, including Collection, Parashah, Theme, and Author, to enable any user to search for and sort through the most relevant material for his or her individual needs. For example, by selecting the appropriate filters, you can find a commentary or lecture about Jewish ethics relating to the book of Genesis. Within that search, you can also conduct a more detailed text search. The Explore Page will load your results, and offer the most individualized experience on learn.jtsa.edu.
4. Torah Commentary
Clicking the Torah Commentary link at the top of the page will take you to the weekly Torah Commentary, allowing for quick and easy access to the various pieces published each week by JTS, translations of Torah portions, and archived commentaries from the past.
The Jewish Theological Seminary of America is a preeminent institution of Jewish higher education that integrates rigorous academic scholarship and teaching with a commitment to strengthening Jewish tradition, Jewish lives, and Jewish communities.
JTS articulates a vision of Judaism that is learned and passionate, pluralist and authentic, traditional and egalitarian; one that is thoroughly grounded in Jewish texts, history, and practices, and fully engaged with the societies and cultures of the present. Our vision joins faith with inquiry; the covenant of our ancestors with the creative insights of today; intense involvement in the society and State of Israel with devotion to the flowering of Judaism throughout the world; service to the Jewish community, as well as to all of the communities of which Jews are a part: our society, our country, and our world.
JTS serves North American Jewry by educating intellectual and spiritual leaders for Conservative Judaism and the vital religious center, training rabbis, cantors, scholars, educators, communal professionals, and lay activists who are inspired by our vision of Torah and dedicated to assisting in its realization.
